TecSmart Solutions is a mobile operation, so there is no workshop for you to drive to. Instead we run two bases and plan routes out from them each day. Wednesbury sits in the middle of the Black Country, within easy reach of the M6 at junctions 9 and 10 and the M5 at junctions 1 and 2, which covers Birmingham and the surrounding boroughs. Stafford covers the northern half of our patch, using the M6 at junction 14 and the M54 west towards Shropshire.

As a rule of thumb we work within roughly 25 miles of either base for normal bookings. That radius is about practicality rather than a hard border: it is the distance we can travel, complete a full day's work and get set up again the following morning without the travel eating into the job. Sites closer to a base are easier to fit in at short notice, and towns near the edge of the radius are usually booked as a planned day, often with two or three vehicles grouped together.

We travel to dealership forecourts, fleet and rental yards, body shop car parks, business parks, farms and domestic driveways. What we need is straightforward: a reasonably level, accessible space beside the vehicle with a few metres of working room, and dry or sheltered conditions for paint work. Vehicles never have to leave your site, which is the whole point of the service — no transporter, no courtesy car and no gap in your stock or your fleet.

If you are between the two bases — Cannock is the obvious example — you may be served by whichever technician is routed nearby that week, which usually means shorter lead times rather than longer ones.
